Since childhood, my fascination with H.R Giger\u2019s monstrous creations included in the famous Alien series has subconsciously influenced my art work. Growing up in Iran, a country whose government shields outside (western) influence, the obscure content our parents were able to forge my persona. The first films I watched with my grandmother was the Alien series. This is my earliest memory of childhood, ever since my mind was not easily malleable to the religious propaganda cartoons. I found the beauty of H.R Giger\u2019s xenomorphs, especially the anatomy of the creatures unforgettable. For my this sculpture project, I had used an armadillo\u2019s skeletal structure as a reference image; the extraordinary capabilities of its dynamic anatomy fit both my artistic and scientific fascination (and inspiration). I wish to unify the contrasting concept of merging organic lifeform (bones) with industrialized\/man made material (metal).
